Johanna & Jacob — An Intimate Outdoor Wedding

An Intimate Outdoor Wedding — With Two Very Special Guests

Johanna and Jacob didn’t want a production. They wanted a promise, made outside, in front of the people (and animals) who matter most. On June 3, 2026, that’s exactly what they got.

The ceremony took place on a grassy path in front of a white stone building — no stage, no rows of chairs stretching back, just the couple, their officiant, and their closest people gathered close. Jacob wore a bright blue suit and a crown of leaves. Johanna wore pale blue and white with a floral crown and carried a white and blue bouquet. Both read their vows from handwritten pages, the old-fashioned way.

The Guests of Honor

Every wedding has a guest list. This one had whiskers. Johanna and Jacob’s fluffy white dog stood witness at the ceremony and appears throughout the portraits — and their cat attended in a teal bubble backpack, observing the proceedings with great dignity. At the reception, a figurine of the bride, groom, and dog made an appearance too. When we say your pets are welcome at your wedding, this is what we mean.

Portraits Around the Grounds

The grounds did the decorating: green lawns, winding paths, the stone building, and a historic cannon that turned into the day’s most unexpected portrait backdrop. Blue, white, and green everywhere — the palette matched the place like it was planned that way.

A Small, Warm Finish

Afterward, everyone moved indoors for a small reception: round tables with light blue cloths and white and blue flowers, a hand-lettered thank-you card box, and live music from a friend on a red electric guitar. No grand exit, no spectacle — just a room full of people who love them, taking their time.
