Ajin & Sadaf — A Helicopter Proposal on a January Tarmac
No petals, no letters, no props — just a black helicopter on a winter airfield. Ajin’s January 12, 2020 proposal to Sadaf let the aircraft do the staging.

The Aircraft
The gallery opens on the helicopter alone: parked on the tarmac, bare trees and low buildings behind it, clear January light. A few angles of anticipation before anyone walks into frame.

The Moment
The couple crosses the apron — Sadaf in a bright pink-red coat and yellow pants, Ajin in a dark suit — and beside the helicopter he goes down on one knee. Covered from several distances, with the embrace and kiss immediately after. Her hand raised toward the camera afterward says the rest.

The People
Portraits on the tarmac first: against the aircraft, walking hand in hand, one frame in black and white. Then family and friends join on the apron for group portraits in front of the helicopter — the witnesses get their backdrop too.

Indoors
The set closes inside, at a family celebration with a Christmas tree still standing in the background and Sadaf in a red dress — the after-party to a proposal that started on an airfield.

A proposal with a helicopter in it doesn’t need much else. Sunny Singh Photography plans and photographs surprise proposals across the Philadelphia area — the moment as it happens, and portraits right after.
